Consultation
A 60-minute consultation to see if a tongue tie release is the best choice. Dr. Bethany evaluates baby & family’s needs and takes a conservative approach, providing alternative methods where possible, and only prescribing frenectomies when needed.

Frenectomy
Performed in office, Dr. Bethany’s frenectomy procedure includes any frenulum that needs treatment (lip, tongue, and/or cheek depending on assessment). You’ll also receive hand-on tutorials on wound care, personalized video of the wound care stretches on your baby, direct text support, provider communications, letter of support and superbills for you to use to submit to your insurance per your request. 2 in office follow ups are included to help manage the wound care, evaluate how the wound is healing, and just checking with how you’re doing during this whole process. There’s always a possibility the procedure can be done on same day as the consultation if you feel comfortable moving forward or Dr. Bethany may recommend some additional support prior to the procedure and will be scheduled another day depending on her assessment.

Dr. Bethany performs the tongue tie release with her CO2 laser. She’ll answer any questions and walks you through how to manage your baby's wound for the first two weeks. You’ll leave with a video tutorial of your own baby so you can reference and watch when you’re not in the office making sure you feel comfortable at home.
Dr Bethany messages you a few hours after the procedure to check in. Then a follow up the next day.
You’ll also get a phone number to text Dr. Bethany 24/7 directly to ask any questions as they come up. -
During the 2nd visit, Dr. Bethany check-in on the baby and parents. She looks to make sure baby is healing well. She will perform an in office wound care stretch. She reviews care instructions again and helps to answer any questions after the first week of the procedure. She reassures parents making them feel supported and love. The first follow up can be from 3-7 days after the procedure.

Dr. Bethany checks in to make sure everything is healing well in week two. By this time, the open wound should almost be healed. She explains how to continue healing long-term and gives you a 4 week plan to continue guiding the healing of the wound.

Dr Bethany will send to any of your providers ( pediatricians, doulas, midwives, lactation specialist, chiropractors, craniosacral fascial therapists, infant occupational therapists, infant physical therapist etc.) a clinical report of findings, as well as photos to keep your care team informed at your request.
You’ll also receive the superbills and a letter of support with an 11-page research paper for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement according to your insurance policy.

24/7 Text Support
What doctor gives you their direct number for 24/7 text support? Dr. Bethany does! She encourages you to text her if you have any questions after the procedure is done. This is what support looks like with an infant tongue tie specialist.
Wound Care Tutorials
A minimum of 2 in office follow ups after the procedure so Dr. Bethany can help with wound care management and to provide more support to you. Dr. Bethany will show you in office how to do the wound care stretches on your baby. She also have you record her doing the wound care on your baby with your phone so you have a customized video to review to reference back to in case you forget anything!
Superbills For Insurance
While not every insurance carrier covers frenectomies, Dr. Bethany’s office provides you a superbill and a letter of support with an 11-page research paper for you to submit to your PPO insurance for reimbursement according to your insurance policy.
